The Town of Bucksport Code Enforcement Office is staffed by the code enforcement officer, who also serves as the town’s building inspector, plumbing inspector and addressing officer. Other duties include providing administrative support to the town’s planning board and appeals board, and working with the town's ordinance committee in the development of ordinances.
The code office serves as the primary source for local building and land use regulation information and permitting assistance.
Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The code office is located on the lower level of the town office at 50 Main Street.
The code enforcement officer is sometimes out of the office conducting inspections and other business, so an appointment is recommended for in-office meetings. Appointments are also required for inspections.
