Center of the Known Universe!

Bucksport Bay brings together the best of coastal and inland Maine. For a successful business the key is Location, Location, Location. Bucksport will make your visit successful for the same reason. Centrally located, Bucksport is 18 miles from Bangor, Ellsworth, Belfast, Blue Hill, Castine and Lucerne. And with Bar Harbor 35 miles to the North and Camden 35 miles to the South, Bucksport truly is the Center of the Known Universe! With all of these jewels within an hour’s drive, any of our fine lodging and eatery options are here to serve as your vacation base.

The tough part of your visit will be finding the time to actually check out the other communities once you see what Bucksport has to offer. Do you like strolling through 18th century granite forts? How about an elevator ride up the highest structure in the State of Maine? A slow kayak ride watching loons and other wildlife? And how about one of New England’s best nine hole golf courses? Maybe you would enjoy a slow boat ride on a vintage tugboat where you can see harbor seals, porpoises, ospreys, eagles and more?

Whether it is an old enjoyment or a new one, you will find plenty to do in the Center of the Known Universe.
