and waterfront walkway is one of the most
peaceful places in the state! While Bucksport’s
Marina is busy enough to ensure you’ll
meet people from far away places, it’s
spacious enough to make it a relaxing place
to moor your vessel.
Located
within 10 minutes of open ocean and yet
protected from the weather, Bucksport’s
waterfront provides:
- Port
Harbor’s Bucksport Marina, a full
service marina with seasonal and transient
slips.
- Town
owned dock providing short-term docking
and water facilities, restrooms, and telephones.
- Mile-long
waterfront walkway with gazebo and professional
landscaping.
- Public
boat ramp with access to Penobscot River
on Verona Island.
- Ample
mooring sites available at below-area
prices (approximately $40 per season).

A
short walk from the town dock, facilities
in downtown Bucksport include restaurants,
an ice cream shop, banks and ATMs, motels,
laundry, seafood markets, and grocery and
convenience stores.
Access
to the water is also available at a public
boat launch on Verona Island, just off Route
1, across the river from downtown Bucksport.
Fishing
in Bucksport Harbor includes striped bass
and mackerel. On your way to Penobscot Bay,
watch for bald eagles, waterfowl, osprey,
harbor seals, and porpoise!
